An unforgettable day begins with an unforgettable setting. The Black Hills provide a stunning backdrop for your vows, framed by lush evergreens and romantic sunsets. Whether you choose to say “I do” on the property or somewhere in the mountains, we’ve got the perfect Black Hills Wedding Cabin.
We host up to 60 guests.
All of our properties are great for hosting guests, getting ready, taking photos, and even your honeymoon pad. However, we can host the entire ceremony and reception as well. Our Black Hills wedding cabin is nestled on 10 private acres and has one of the best venue views you’ll find. Additionally, two Master bedrooms provide a separate space for each wedding party and a private balcony off the kitchen offers a secluded meal for the newlyweds, if they so choose. When the party ends, the property sleeps up to 25 overnight guests.
Why couples choose a Black Hills Wedding Cabin
Brides rave about this cabin for their Black Hills Wedding Cabin. Here are a few reasons why:
Food options are unlimited.
Most venues require you use their food vendor, which tends to be pricey dry chicken. However, here, you can do whatever you’d like! Have a caterer onsite, use both full kitchens, or hire in food trucks (like we did at our reception.) Because of this, you’ll end up paying a fraction of the price for a better meal.
Lodging is included at a Black Hills Wedding Cabin.
After all, you and your guests have to sleep somewhere, and a cabin is much more affordable than a block of hotel rooms. It’s nice for the wedding party or family to stay together with a common living room, making memories in a beautiful space.
Not everyone is doing it.
A Black Hills Wedding Cabin is a personalized, luxury experience for brides wanting a more intimate gathering. Surrounded by nature, the picturesque backdrop reflects your personality, sense of adventure, and your love.
Lastly, your photos will be unreal.
White tulle against the lush green forest – it’s a mood your photographer won’t be able to get enough of. That’s why you’re almost guaranteed some incredible shots! Check our tagged photos on Instagram.
Recommended Black Hills Wedding Cabin Vendors
The right wedding vendors make for a smooth day! That’s why we’re sharing our genuine favorites (no sponsorships here). Keep in mind, we’ve either worked with them for our wedding (circa 2018) or guests’ weddings!
Glorious Cakes
First, the cake. Gloria’s our gal for all-things-confectionary. Actually, she made us a showstopper four-tiered vanilla bean cake with buttercream and a berry compote to feed 300 guests. She even incorporated our flowers into the design and delivered it all onsite. Her cakes are balanced with just the right level of sweetness.
Luke + Savannah Photography
Next, this husband-wife team from Sioux Falls has shot weddings at our place before as well as other wooded areas around the Black Hills. They’re incredible at dark and dreamy, as well as muted and whimsical, and are the sweetest to work with. However, they book up in advance, for good reason.
Taylee Hudson Photography
Alternately, Taylee grew up in the Black Hills and knows the area well and how to shoot it. Also, she’s bubbly, adorable, all around great to work with.
Ben Weichler Media
The new-comer videographer has an eye for color and unique shots. Additionally, Ben is thorough, listens to your vision, and overdelivers every time.
The Good Stuffed
Next up, this food truck serves up delicious, quick, and affordable options and the owners are lovely to work with. They were even onsite early setting up – in contrast to the other food truck (not to be named) that an angry bridesmaid called until they showed up, ha! Thanks, Kelsey! (Also, make sure you have a Kelsey.)
Spearfish Pavilion
Lastly, this is another gorgeous site for the vows and reception, formally the Wilbur S. Tretheway Pavilion. After the fun, come back to any of our Deadwood properties (20 minutes) to end the night.
